Dill from the jar can actually taste as good, in its way, as fresh, at least to this philistine's palate. I'm guessing it was Herbal Oat Crackers rather than oak crackers. I have a recipe by that name in my Homemade Crackers Using Herbs, but I've made it many times and never had any problems. If I knew where the recipe was from, or saw the ingredients, I might be able to figure out what went wrong. <br />JimJim Longs Gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12018979072600103985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32921287.post-11329725216803257372010-03-24T17:52:05.166-05:002010-03-24T17:52:05.166-05:00I found a recipe for Herbal Oak Crackers in Oklaho...I found a recipe for Herbal Oak Crackers in Oklahoma Gardening magazine. This was one of the first results i got (coincidentally one of the only ones i actually had most of the stuff to make it) so i gave it a shot. We didn't have thyme so we substituted parsley, but it turned out awesome. Also used a bit of ginger(to help with indigestion, so everyone can enjoy your stuffing), some chicken soup powder, a little salt and pepper and a bunch of butter with onion cooked in with it. then pour the butter/onion all over everything.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
